The MSP is for the main display on the Omni, and the MPP is for the main board in the Omni. When you get the new firmware (at /firmware), the first two items in the list are firmware upgrades for the MSP and the MPP. If you download in Internet Explorer, once your download is complete, please remove the ".TXT" extension from the file on the USB device. It is best if you download the firmware in Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers.In order to install firmware, installation files must be on the root directory of the USB drive.A search may find a hayward-pool.ca website page that does not have the latest firmware.Īlso note at the bottom of the Firmwware section it says: The latest firmware can be found at the Hayward OmniLogic product page, Support tab, then scroll down to Omni Firmware. When doing a search for the latest Hayward OmniLogic firmware you may find some pages that have links to firmware that is not the latest. The auto update feature will update MSP, MPP, and all smart components to the latest versions. When a new version comes out, you will get an alarm and you can then go to the panel and download and install it. Once you are at v4.0.0,, updates can be done over the air (wirelessly). The easiest way is to ensure that your MSP is at v4.0.0 or higher. If the available version is higher, then you should upgrade. You can check your current version by going into Config -> System Info. I removed the PCB and it looks fine, no visible flaws or burn out on any of the components or behind the PCB. When I turn the chlorinator on, the ‘power’ light is on and works fine, the ‘generating’ light comes on and after a minute or so it goes off and the ‘check salt’ and ‘inspect cell’ lights come on and stay solid red and green respectively. When I try to recalibrate, the recalibration does not work, auto to off and then back to auto, press the diagnostic button five times, I hear a click but the salt level reading does not change value from -zero. Located in sunny Dallas and I run the pump 10 hours a day. The chlorinator is not generating chlorine as evidenced by numerous tests at Leslie’s even though the desired output level is set at 90%. The salt cell is new and has been tested at Leslie’s to show that it works well. The water has been tested at Leslie’s multiple times to show 3200 salt level. ![]() I have a Hayward Aqua Rite that shows a zero reading for salt and instant salinity also shows zero. ![]()
